Delegate leader of the Zimbabwean Joint Command and Staff College, Group Captain Anthony Viyano has congratulated the Chief of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin for his sterling leadership qualities and pledged for his country’s commitment to understudy and partner with the Nigerian Armed Forces in their fight against terrorism and all acts of criminalities.
Group Captain Viyano made this remark when he led student officers of the Zimbabwe Joint Command Staff College to the Defence Headquarters Abuja recently, as part of their geo-strategic study tour. While applauding the CDS and the Nigerian Armed Forces for their enormous contributions to nation building, he noted that in spite of the myriad security challenges, the Nigerian Military has been able to give a good account of themselves as a leading force in Africa and the sub region
In his remark, CDS assured the delegation of the Nigerian Armed Forces commitment to partner any country in Africa and the sub region to fight terrorism, acts of brigandage and assorted vices.
Members of the delegation were also briefed on the operational activities of the Multinational Joint Task Force, Operation Lafiya Dole and the process of Military operations across the country.
The Chief of Defence Staff was represented during the visit by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Defence Headquarters, Air Vice Marshal B.G. Saidu and other senior principal staff officers at the Defence Headquarters.
