The Chief Of Army Staff Lt Gen TY Buratai yesterday commissioned projects initiated and executed by the Commander 4 Brigade Brig Gen Ibrahim Garba, represented by the Commander Training and Doctrine Command( TRADOC)Maj Gen AA Salihu. The COAS commended the initiative of the 4 Brigade commander assuring personnel of adequate facilities. According to him, satisfying the needs of troops was as important as fighting in the theatre of operation.
Earlier in his remarks, the Commander 4 Brigade said the project would improve the welfare of officers and men of the Brigade. He then thanked the GOC 2 Division for his support in the actualization of the project.
Present at the occasion were the Commander Corps of Artillery Maj Gen AA Tarfa, the Chief of Army Standard and Evaluation Maj Gen AO Shodunke, the Commandant Nigerian Army College of Logistics (NACOL), Zonal Coordinator NAOWA 4 Brigade Chapter Mrs Falilatu I Garba, Soldiers and their families.
The projects commissioned include 3KM Perimeter Fence, 2 Cantonment Gates, Newly Constructed 4 Brigade Garrison Quarter Guards, Observation Post, Guard Houses, and Renovated 2 Blocks containing 24 Flats in the Non-Commissioned Officers Accommodation. Highlights of the events include inspection of Quarter Guard and Cultural Troupes Display.
