The Commander of the Royal Jordanian Air force, Major General Yousef Alhnaity has pledged his country’s support to the Nigerian Armed Forces in overcoming its security challenges.
Major General Alhnaity made the pledge when he visited the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) Abuja. While assuring the CDS of Jordan’s determination to support the DHQ, he stated that the Jordanian Royal Air force will explore area of possible collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in addition to the bilateral agreement to provide necessary military assistance and training to NAF.
In his response General Olonisakin noted that the visit was no doubt a positive step towards cementing the existing military relations between Jordan and Nigeria.
He observed that the Jordanian Air Force support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria have greatly added value to the mutual cooperation between the two countries.
The CDS thanked the Jordanian delegation and solicited for enhanced cooperation in the area of training, platform acquisition and capacity building.
